Week of 2/22/10-2/26/19 (3Q- Week 5)

8th Graders,


Hope you had a great week off and feel recharged to start your final push towards the end of your middle school days. Before you know it, Spring Break will be here for yet another week.

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?
We start many students' favorite Unit, Track and Field. Track and Field usually caters to all types of student abilities. The Track & Field unit will cover the following events: shot put, discus, hurdles, 100 meter sprinting, 800 meter run, 1600 meter run, long jump, triple jump, high jump, mile relay and 4 x 100 meter relay. This week, we will be covering shot put, discus and 800 meter. Check out the google calendar for more details.

WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?
Our run is actually going to be on Friday. There is going to be a PE wide grade level competition in the 800 meter which will act as your run this week.

WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
We do not have a fitness activity scheduled this week because we will do discus and shot put instead.

DID YOU FILL OUT YOUR E-LOGS?
e-Run Log: You DO NOT need to fill out your e-Run log for Run For Your Life this week.

e-Fitness Log: Good news, you no longer have to fill this out. You will receive 2 points of extra credit every week that you do fill it out which will be applied to you fitness grade.

IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?
No, you do not have a new homework assignment posted this week.

ARE THERE ANY ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS WEEK?
There is nothing due this week.
