8th Graders,

I hope that you are enjoying a nice 3 day weekend. Unfortunately the weather is not nicer, but, nevertheless, take the time to rest and get ready for a fresh start with quarter 2. I can't believe that 10 weeks of school have just come and gone in the blink of an eye..

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?

Our final week of the Lacross Tourney, "Battle of the Sticks" will continue this week. The championship matches will be on Thursday.

WHAT UNIT IS COMING UP NEXT?

Floor Hockey on the upper blacktop will be next. Be ready to clash the hockey sticks and smash the pucks.

WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?

You will be doing the team, cooperative run called the Variety Run. To read about it, click HERE.

WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?

We will be in the Rock Wall for Day 2 of the 20 station Rock Wall Circuit. Please try and remember which station you left off so that you can continue on the next station of the circuit.

DID YOU FILL OUT YOUR E-RUN LOG?

You need to fill out the new Mile Run Log for last week's mile run. I simplified the log and have made it much easier to fill out. Should take no longer than 20 seconds.

IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?

No, there is no homework this week. I will be assigning your first assignment of the 2nd quarter next week.

ARE THERE ANY ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS WEEK?

Yes, your Strength Training Make Up Assignment is due on Monday. If you want to get a perfect score on the test, please turn this in. You can find it on the Make-Up Page by clicking HERE.

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS

I have an Extra Credit Page that always has different types of Extra Credit assignments you can choose from. I would love some Fitness Mixes. Make me some good CD's to use on your Run and Fitness Days. Read about the assignment guidelines on the extra credit page.

ARTICLE OF THE WEEK (AOW)

It is always interesting to read articles about the effects of foods. I found this article that talks about food that may help to prevent colds and the flu. Read it and see what you think. Remember, there is an Extra Credit assignment you can do for every AOW which can be found on the Extra Credit Page.
