8th Graders,
Sorry for the late blog this week. There was a ton going on this weekend and have finally had some breathing room. Congratulations, you are finished logging your fitness plan. However, I truly hope that many of you continue with your fitness goals longer than this 2 weeks. I guarantee that you will feel the difference.

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?
We only a 4 day week with the possibility of a Run and Fitness day, therefore, there will only be 2 days of UF this week. We will continue with the tournament.

YOUR FITNESS PLAN PROJECT
You have almost completed your fitness plan project. Remember, your fitness plan project is 4 phases; 1. Develop Prior Knowledge, 2. Design your Fitness Plan, 3. Execute/Track your Plan and 4. Reflect on your Fitness Plan.
You have finished Phases 1-3. This week, I am going to post your Phase 4, Reflection assignment on the Fitness Plan Project Webpage. I hope to have it posted by Wednesday. Please keep checking. I will announce in class.
WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?
You will have a brand new run this week. I have never done this run at CMS. Be prepared for one of the tougher runs of the year. Please wear proper running shoes on Tuesday, Wed or Thursday, any of which could be the run day.
WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
Because we do not have school on Friday, we will not have our fitness day on Friday. I hope to have a fitness day this week, just not sure which day. I am giving priority to the run day this week.
DID YOU FILL OUT YOUR E-LOGS?
e-Run Log: Yes, you need to fill out your e-Mile Run Log for last week's mile run. If you did not do the mile, please do a make up run sometime in the next week and fill out the mile run template.
e-Fitness Log: You can fill out the e-Fitness Log for the Spring Fitness Assessment and earn some extra credit.
IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?
Yes, you need to check the Fitness Plan Project Page and complete the Fitness Plan Reflection Assignment. I hope to have it developed by Wednesday and it will be due next week.
ARE THERE ANY ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS WEEK?
Yes, fill out your e-Mile Run Log for last week's mile run if you have not done so already.
ARTICLE OF THE WEEK (AOW)
I see a lot of students walking around campus and before sporting events eating energy bars. There are a ton of different energy bars on the market and it is always best to be as informed about them as possible. Check out this ARTICLE and see what you think. I found it very interesting.
