We have another 4 day week ahead of us. Fortunately, you get Friday off but I don't. Anyway, please read through the entire blog.

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?
We are finishing our final week of Cooperative Games/Fitness Testing. We will have our Push-Up test this week as well as finish the Flexibility exercises. This will wrap up most of the fitness testing data that you need to collect. If you have not found your BMI yet, which is part of the fitness testing, please click here and turn it in.
WHAT UNIT IS COMING UP NEXT?
Your next unit is Strength Training. You need to print out a workout log and weight room rules (HW #10) from this Strength Training Page. These need to be put in Tab #3 in your binder.
WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?
We will be doing the 2 Mile Run this week. The run is going to either be on Wednesday or Thursday. The ONLY way to make up this run is after school with me on a specific day that I will announce after the run.
WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
We don't technically have a Fitness Day this week because there is not school on Friday. However, our Push Up test will be the Fitness Day. I will be using the FitnessGram CD to conduct your Push Up test. Please watch this video to see how the test will be conducted.
DID YOU FILL OUT YOUR E-RUN LOG?
You need to fill out the e-Pedometer Log this week. It is due by end of day on Tuesday, 9/14. DON'T FORGET. If you having issues with the log, please come by my office and you can log it on my computer.
IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?
Yes, go to your 8th Grade Homework Page to check them out. Assignments #9 and #10 were just assigned, due Monday of next week.
ARE THERE ANY ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS WEEK?
Yes, you need to have HW #7 and HW #8 for Monday, 9/13.
I have an Extra Credit Page that always has different types of Extra Credit assignments you can choose from. I would love some Fitness Mixes. Make me some good CD's to use on your Run and Fitness Days. Read about the assignment guidelines on the extra credit page.
ARTICLE OF THE WEEK (AOW)
Check out this article on Walking, An Easy Way to Exercise. Fitness does not have to be tough. Remember, there is an Extra Credit assignment you can do for every AOW which can be found on the Extra Credit Page.
LAST MINUTE REMINDERS
-HW #7 and 8 are due on Monday.
-Fill out your e-Pedometer Log.
-Prepare for the 2 mile run.
-Get your Strength Training Assignments done for next Monday.
YOUR WORD OF THE WEEK (WOW)

Go to your WOW Page, find this week's WOW and then fill out the WOW template which you need to download from this page. This template will be due on the final week of the quarter. You will have a quiz of all these words.
